Ripley’s Stuffed Alien Eggs
NOTE: There is a new ALIEN cookbook out as of August 2021. THIS IS NOT THEIR RECIPE! We did ours long before the cookbook came out.
Ripley was not a fan of Mother Alien’s eggs and we’re pretty sure they would have tasted nasty too. Fortunately, we found a way to make a stuffed egg that is delicious with no acid and face hugging is optional.
This movie is always a classic and fun to watch, but always a little scary. We make this recipe everytime we sit to watch any of the Alien movies because it’s quick, easy to eat as a snack and honestly delicious. There is a great review of the movie Aliens here and awesome video deconstruction of the movie here.
Ripley’s Stuffed Alien Eggs
Ingredients
- 3 medium avocados
- 5 oz cream cheese
- 3 oz crumbled blue cheese
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 5 oz sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Cut the avocado about 1 - 2 inches down from the top and scoop out the pit and all avocado fruit. Set aside.
- Mix the cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl, by hand. Knead the mixture for about 8 mins
- Add blue cheese crumbles and knead in the mixture for one minute
- Stuff the avocado shells with the mixture carefully
- Serve with crackers or mini toast
Notes
We tried to use the "eggs" to make guac and it turned out pretty good, but it was hard to get the chips inside. Something spreadable works best.
You could substitute any hardy dip inside these "eggs".
Use the avocado fruit to make guac or freeze to use in a dip later.
