Brains and Slime
Huge, exiled, terrorist brains floating around controlling people (and dogs!). There is a little something for everyone in this B movie from 1957. Grab some of our pasta brains and slime ( alfredo sauce w/spinach) and at least your meal will be in good in taste.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup + 2 tbls Butter
- 1 pint heavy whipping cream (warmed lightly)
- 6 oz cream cheese brick, cubed ( do not use whipped)
- 1 tbls crushed garlic
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp course salt
- 1 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes ( optional)
- 1/2 tsp lemon zest
- 1 package of frozen chopped spinach (thawed and drained)
- For the pasta
- 1 package of Radiatore tri-color pasta ( Simply Balanced from Target works great!)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to directions
- Place spinach in a food processor and pulse until the spinach pieces are very small.
- In a large heavy pot, melt butter on medium heat.
- Add heavy whipping cream slowly to the butter and gently whisk until incorporated.
- Blend in cream cheese and garlic until the mixture is smooth.
- Add parmesan cheese and stir while simmering for 5 minutes.
- Add the spinach and cook for an additional 2 minutes
- Serve "slime" over warm "brains"!
Notes
Another easy to make recipe that was a crowd pleaser. We served this dish in both the platter shown and in this skull container. It's deep and kept the pasta warm. Get it here
